Music Poem
There are many different instruments to play
such as stringed, flutes, or djembe's
with lots of hard work
and practice too,
you can learn how to play
Gagaku
Good job. I didn't expect a poem about musical instruments. Mr. Chester
A Mountain
My Life is a mountain
and it hasn't been easy
going up-hill is hard,
like moving to a new state
leaving family and friends
but on the bright side,
like when you reach the top of the mountain,
I've met new friends, new people, and
new places
going downhill is rather fun,
like hanging out with friends
and going to new places with them
my life is a mountain
and it hasn't been easy
James Clerk Maxwell James was born on June 13, 1831. He was a Scottish mathematical physicist. His most amazing achievement was formulating classical electromagnetic theory. This unites all previously unrelated observations, experiments, and equations of electricity, magnetism, and optics into a consistent theory. James demonstrated that electric and magnetic fields travel through space in the form of waves and at the constant speed of light. Maxwell also helped develop the Maxwell–Boltzmann distribution, which is a statistical means of describing aspects of the kinetic theory of gases. (information from Wikipedia) These two discoveries helped usher in the era of modern physics, laying the foundation for such fields as special relativity and quantum mechanics. At the age of 25, James became Professor of physics at Marischal College, Aberdeen. James is influential because so much of our technology in the world today stems from his grasp of basic principles of the universe. Wide ranging developments in the field of electricity and electronics, including radio, television, radar and communications, derive from Maxwell's discovery - which was not a synthesis of what was known before, but rather a fundamental change in concept that departed from Newton's view and was to influence greatly the modern scientific and industrial revolution. Both are very good. You did an excellent job with a challenging person. 4's. Mr. Chester In sign of warming, 1600 years of ice in Andes melted in only 25 years!
The ice cap took long to form, but little time to melt. But why? Mainly because of temperature spikes in weather and global warming.
Scientists have studied the plants that are being uncovered from the ice. By using a radioactive form of carbon, scientists can date the age of the plants.
By doing this, they can infer what the weather was like back then. It wasn't that hot because humans didn't
produce a lot of greenhouse gases. But since we humans produce a lot of greenhouse gases, the air gets very
warm, and melts the ice cap quicker than it was formed. So what happens when the ice cap melts completely?
Think about the people living there. There source for water supplies comes from that mountain. So when it all runs out, what will happen to them?
